Barb Hopkins is a U.S.-based writer with more than 20 years of writing experience and a background in marketing, including seven seasons as the Marketing Director for a nationally known Shakespeare Festival. As a marketing professional, Barb writes press releases, newsletters, brochures, and other promotional materials. She’s also written several scripts for both television and radio commercials.
As a professional copywriter, Barb creates compelling landing pages, social media posts, and short-form blog posts for B2B and B2C. Her fields of expertise include real estate, visual merchandising, DIY, entertainment, and travel as well as lifestyle topics like cooking, recipes, wedding planning, family, and parenting. Barb also has extensive experience writing product descriptions for industries that include fashion, home goods, and jewelry.
Barb Hopkins has worked with authors as a beta reader, critique partner, and virtual assistant since 2015. She performs copy and line edits for completed novels, novellas, query letters, and blog posts. She is a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA).
